Pool Builders in Mount Pleasant, SC

Mount Pleasant has 8 pool companies listed here, and the websites of three of them confirm that they build new pools: Endless Summers Pools and Spas LLC, HCA Pools and Sweetgrass Pools. The other five mostly clean, repair or service pools, or their websites did not say what they build. Before you call, decide whether the pool is for a home or for a commercial property, because the list splits on that.

For a new backyard pool, start with the gunite builders. HCA Pools lists gunite pools, fiberglass pools and spas. Sweetgrass Pools builds tanning ledges, and lists inground pools and gunite pools. For fiberglass, HCA Pools and Sweetgrass Pools install fiberglass pools.

For an HOA, apartment or business pool, the shortlist is shorter. HCA Pools and SC Coastal Pools take commercial work, according to their websites. If you already have a pool and want it remodeled or resurfaced, Endless Summers Pools and Spas LLC lists that work.

Check where each company is based. HCA Pools in Awendaw is listed here because that town does not have a page of its own. The rest sit in or near Mount Pleasant, in Charleston County. If your property is nearer to Daniel Island, Charleston, Hanahan, North Charleston or Johns Island, each has a page of its own.

Timing matters near the South Carolina coast, so ask when your builder expects the pool to be in the ground. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, and much of the low-lying coastal plain has a high water table, so ask how the company keeps an open dig dry and protects the shell from groundwater pressure.

Think about financing and warranty while you compare. HCA Pools and Sweetgrass Pools offer financing, with lenders such as HFS Financial named on their websites. HCA Pools and Sweetgrass Pools attach warranties, so ask each one what the warranty covers: structure, finish, equipment and workmanship. Endless Summers Pools and Spas LLC also remodels and resurfaces, so it can look after the pool after it is built.

Experience and reviews make a good first filter. Sweetgrass Pools has worked in the area since 2020 and is rated 5.0 from 8 reviews. Endless Summers Pools and Spas LLC is rated 5.0 from 21 and HCA Pools 4.8 from 17.

Two names on the page show mainly cleaning or repair work on their websites. SC Coastal Pools cleans, repairs or services pools and is rated 5.0 from 73 reviews. Coastline Pool Services cleans, repairs or services pools and is rated 4.7 from 50 reviews. Pool service companies often build as well, so ask, and keep them in mind for care after the build.
