Pool Builders in Conway, SC

If you want pool builders in South Carolina's Horry County, Conway has 13 companies on this page, and four of them build new pools: C & C Pools, Quality Pools & Spas-Landscaping & Design, Edge Landscape & Pool Construction and Lanier Pools LLC. The other nine mostly clean, repair or service pools, or their websites did not say what they build. Before you call, decide whether the pool is for a home or for a commercial property, because the list splits on that.

For a new backyard pool, start with the gunite builders. Quality Pools & Spas-Landscaping & Design builds fire features, pergolas and lap pools, and lists gunite pools and fiberglass pools. Edge Landscape & Pool Construction builds water features, pergolas and retaining walls, and lists gunite pools and fiberglass pools. For fiberglass, Star Pools MB installs fiberglass pools.

For an HOA, apartment or business pool, the shortlist is shorter. Edge Landscape & Pool Construction takes commercial work, according to its website. If you already have a pool and want it remodeled or resurfaced, Quality Pools & Spas-Landscaping & Design and Lanier Pools LLC list that work.

Mind the distance. Tropicana Pool & Supply Inc in Aynor and Edge Landscape & Pool Construction in Loris are listed here because those towns do not have a page of their own. The rest sit in or near Conway, in Horry County. If your property is nearer to Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, Little River or Murrells Inlet, each has a page of its own.

Plan around the water here. Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, heavy rain can fill an open excavation overnight, and many coastal lots sit in a mapped flood zone. Ask each builder how it handles a wet dig, check with your building department whether flood rules affect the pool or the equipment pad, and ask how the metal parts stand up to salt air.

Think about financing and warranty while you compare. Quality Pools & Spas-Landscaping & Design, Edge Landscape & Pool Construction and Star Pools MB offer financing. Quality Pools & Spas-Landscaping & Design and Edge Landscape & Pool Construction also remodel and resurface, so either can look after the pool after it is built.

Look at the track records next. Lanier Pools LLC has worked in the area since 1998 and is rated 3.3 from 6 reviews. Edge Landscape & Pool Construction has worked in the area since 2007 and is rated 5.0 from 8 reviews. C & C Pools is rated 4.7 from 115 and Quality Pools & Spas-Landscaping & Design 3.6 from 62.

Nine companies on the page did not say on their websites whether they build: Del Mar Pools and Spas, ASP - America's Swimming Pool Company of Myrtle Beach, Star Pools MB, Brothers Pool Plastering Repair and Renovation, Garcia's Concrete Works & Pool Construction and 4 more. Call and ask before you add them to your shortlist.
